I stoppd caring a couple of years back. If the American public wants to vote in GWB again, they deserve what they get.
Legislation you can repeal, deficits can be fixed etc, but you're stuck with a judiciary for life. Bush will nominate Thomas/Scalia clones for the two SCOTUS spots that are expected to open up, as he has for the Federal Circuit courts, and a situation unprecidented in the history of modern politics will then unfold: the Republican party will have effective control of all three branches of the Fedgov at once.
Bye bye checks and balances, 50 years of establishment clause jurisprudence, and Roe v. Wade.. for starters.
I almost hope it happens, because it would be fun to watch. Of course I hold an EU passport, lol.
The only thing cooler would be waking up tomorrow morning, turning on CNN, and seeing a 20,000ft high mushroom cloud blossoming over Washington DC.
