If I were you, I'd stay away from the free/cheap trial, you'll pay a lot less for bandwidth in the end, and get customers that are really interested in what you have long term. I guess the biggest question that I ask anyone that comes to me to host a paysite is: Do you have a niche or a reason for them to signup with you. If you want to start another teen/amateur site, don't do it, unless you are shooting the pics yourself, and they won't be anywhere else on the net. If your going for one of the niche markets, make sure you have enough content for at least 4 months with 2 to 3 updates a week at least or don't waste your time. I've seen too many paysites get rolling only to find they can't get enough new pics to keep the customers around longer than 30 days. The Rebills are where the money is at !!!!!!

If your buying content, do they let you use the pics for wide scale marketing. In other words can you give it out to other webmasters that are promoting your site.

Make sure and have your marketing kit ready before you say anything to anyone, free galleries, lots of different banners and text links for promo and such.

Make sure to figure in the cost of some live feeds, check out ynotmasters.com if you don't have them ready to go yet. I always call the companies offering video and picture plugins for your site and see if they will give a discount since the site is starting with 0 clients, many times they will give you a break for the first couple of months.

Sorry it is so long, maybe we should setup like a Friday night chat session where a group of us that host paysites can offer suggestions and help to those that are looking into starting one
