Ahh...hello? This guy isn't putting himself in the public eye...the media is.
I always love how people say gays bring their sex lives into their living rooms. Gays love just like hetero's love. How many straight marriages do you see on TV? So this guy wanted to get married, and couldn't...so the media jumped all over it and put it on the news. Why does that bother you? If it bothers you so much, then don't watch the news. The news puts this stuff out because people watch.
I am amazed everytime I read gay bashing here...you would think the adult industry would be one of the most open minded groups in America. But I get proven wrong here all the time.
