If you haters are so intensely embroiled in protecting "traditional marriage," hey, go for it. But start where it matters, ah, let's see 50% divorce rate?? Let's just do that. Make divorce illegal - follow the logic, the Book, make it punishable by death. Same for adultery. An eye for an eye.
I'm sick of a bunch of half-wits quoting half-scripture in a lame attempt to justify their own ignorant beliefs - I'm the least religious person you'll ever meet but something as basic as the parable of the Good Samaritan (I can re-iterate it if you don't know it) is alien to "Religion" these days, and I know more scripture than most of these people.
Yanno - go figure. Let me try and assume the POV of some of these people. "I see all these fuckin' straights on TV and it just makes me sick. I wanna puke when I see a guy going down on a girl. That's just unnatural. Oh my god, the girl is crying at the wedding, that's just so fucking pathetic. Where's the damn pizza and beer??"
If for *once* in your life you've ever had people smash all the windows out of your car just because of who you were, or been pulled over by cops because you were in the "gay" district, or looked gay, then maybe you can speak. Just maybe. And if you condone that attitude, that treatment, then think about Matthew Shepard and you should really seriously consider if you belong on the face of the planet.
Every time you use the word "fag," every time you call someone that, every time you make gay jokes, that's another nail in somebody's coffin, and their blood just might be on YOUR hands. Or perhaps it's ok to make jokes about every minority except straight white males and then like the guy in kids, say "wha' happened?" when the world is full of people blowing each other up.
Nothing happens in a vacuum. Think about that.
