Why? Because he's not a third world monkey doing it for $300 in the first place? $700 for a one page tour is eminently reasonable. thats like 20 signups the owner would get from it - fucking peanuts.
Theres only a couple of reasons you'd do designs for less than $500:
A. You live somewhere like romania.
B. You outsource to designers living there.
C. You are in college and designing for beer money.
D. You aren't that good and are competing on price instead of quality.
E. Your exchange rate is currently great from the US.
F. You don't know what you're worth.
G. You are desperate for the money.
Do you even remember back in this biz past the last couple of years? Don't whine about prices - you are fucking lucky you aren't in a mainstream business and pay most most people have to pay for quality design.
