Anyways, my point is that the punch was not a criminal act, it was something that happens very often in hockey and thus it's an accepted part of the hockey game. So when the players suit up, they are accepting the potential for a fight.
Was it a criminal act - imo, no.
Is shit like that good for hockey - imo, no.
I'd love to see a MUCH cleaner game but its not going to happen until we get more consistent and better quality ref'ing.

It is a criminal act. Just because it happens often doesn't legalize it. That would make murder legal... that happens alot.
