If *I* asked a guy for his number (very rare - 3 times? in 10 yrs maybe) it was due to an interest on my part. Maybe things have changed or could be different in the strip clubs. Thinking back to the 80's and early 90's when I danced and made 2-500 more a night then the strippers acrossed the road, ummm I think the allure and mysticism angle worked alot better. lol
As far as your buddy and unprotected... Just don't drop the soap any more when you shower with him and you should be ok!
