you do have a point joesho - maybe I over reacted, I just felt that gay marriages tend to take it seriously since they have fought so long to be recognized that the parents would take more interest and care so as not to draw negative attention.
All the gay community would need is one parent screwing up to ruin it - sad truth - but the world would jump all over them. I just feel that gay parents will always have in the back of their minds the need to prove themselves worthy over a straight couple.
