Can someone tell me exactly what the hell is a dialer?

I probably should know this but all I've heard is bad stuff about them, how they rip off surfers, and overall hurt the adult industry, so I never even tried to learn about them.

So what is a dialer?

Adult Revenue Service- with Maxcash I converted 1:3400 (mostly to Kara's)
but with ARS I convert 1:400 or better with SAME TGP TRAFFIC (I can prove with screen shots)!
