Then the uproar dies down, you don't hear about it for a while..... until the next pitbull attack leaves another kid scarred for life or worse, or it tears up someone else's dog. You can't count on these fucking dogs no matter how well you train them. They seem to have an inherant unpredictability that "may or may not come out" in the dog's lifetime.
I would never own a pitbull, and it's one of the fucking LAST breeds that I want to see having new litters.

they're better tempered than MANY other big dogs, but you hear of this happening all the time with Pits for a reason. How many Dobies or German Shephards do you ever see off-leash? How many other breeds have ignorant-ass backyard breeders in every trailer park and housing project? Go to any ghetto or skinhead neighborhood and you can see Pits everywhere, either running loose or being used as 'guard dogs' by thugs. If these people were attracted to a different breed, it would be that breed that you hear about all the time. It's not the Pit, it's the people.
