You notice the "nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine"?! Now of course, you are starting legal-babbel shit explaining why the settlements are legal by claiming that the above actually means that the declaration says you own it and the non-jews do not just because it says "establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people" as if that means you OWN friggin Palestine. Can you please explain to me how the above means that? It just says that you may settle in the land since it should be your national home, but that it does not mean you can just take away from the people already there.
The fact that Jordan and Egypt conquered parts of that territory just shows that they did not agree with the way you handled it after the british left.
Sorry, but I might not know everything about Israel's history, but I know this: you fucked it up for yourself by being a bully in the Arab region. Whether it was once yours or not, when you GOT it it was _NOT YOURS TO HAVE_, you conquered it and are now pissed that the Arabs are pissed at you, what the HECK did you expect?! That they love you for taking their land?

your first mistake: out of around 6 million citizens, around 1.5 million are muslims, palestinian arabs, who have Israeli citizenship. that's a lot of non-jews. and they enjoy full rights just like every jewish citizen, as it should be done in a democratic state.
your second mistake: Israel did not start a war. The UN said that a certein part of the land would be given to Israel, and another part (the bigger part) woud be given to the palestinians. The palestinians didn't accept this decision, and with the help of arab countries around Israel (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon) started a war on Israel in 1948. Israel won the war.
