I think the important thing is to match your ads with your audience. All those other things matter, but what it's going to come down to is selling them what they want to buy.

I run a TGP with tons of free pics and no blind links, but I don't use a single click-thru sponser on it. What I'm saying to the surfer is "Here's some good free stuff, click here if you want to buy the great stuff." It works enough to pay the bills.

The most important thing is PAY ATTENTION! If you're trying a click-thru, notice how many sales you're making for them - would you have made more if you were getting paid for signups?

You've got to experiment, you can get some great advice but remember: the goal is to make the most money with your traffic. Find the sponsers and the programs that work for you and push them, but always keep looking for more.
