Only way you'll get any real SEO is if it's pay per sale or a % of overall revenues; a partnership. Plus you also have to compete with all of the $35-$40 per sale competition. If they don't ask for that, then they would likely ask for whatever amount they'd assume they could make you in 6-12 months time and then there's the risk on your end of getting fucked. Unless you have a strong content site, you have to pay to play these days...

At least if you have a program with one of the major search engines you know your site will be spidered immediately.
Keeping it for month number 2 is up to you; at least you know you are in the index and would probably show up with that engine for years to come.
