Only 5 years?? I thought it was longer than that

I remember I was like 12-13 and I tried to talk my mother into letting me buy it, but then I saw something on 20/20 and people were all saying how they lost homes and stuff after buying it, and how other said everything in it was a lie or something like that.

did anyone else see that 20/20 special?
