wizzo is so right about the free content that sponsors give away. (Yet without any, perhaps I would not have made my first site, learned from my mistakes, continued, and finally made money for me and them. Now I can buy my own content, my own hosting and bandwith, I have my own traffic and becomming more and more independant.)

Take this site for instance, with only 15 pictures http://www.sweetyoungbabes.net, I paid 55$ for the set, so I'm aint inclined in putting them the best pink shots and the juicy ones. If they want them, they can go to http://www.digital-babes.com and pay for *value added* for their experience. (Very big pics, very nice shots, full 118 pics of the set, video of the girls making love).

This is all nice and works until you find Joe Thief who will steal the entire content of your paysite, post it to let say alt.binary.pictures.digital-babes and alt.binary.pictures.digitalbabes.repost and after that the entire picture sets make it to free host or which ever. Then it starts hurting everybody.

Yet it's slow, unfriendly and there is no "value added".

Free host services are NOT the problem. (There was the same debate about Geocities , Tripod, AngelFire back then, saying who would pay for hosting when you have services free like them)

But what hurts more the entire industry is the type of stunt VividVideo pull on me yesterday when I made a mistake in their membership sign-up form. Redirection to a dialer which I fell for(I can just imagine Joe Newbie). That left a very bad taste in my mouth. Espacially since I wanted to pay 40$ to access thier "value added" membership site.

I had to edit this message often to corect the links, we all know to well what hapens on free host when you hit a 404
