I live by my own, I can't even imagine living with my mom. I'm in my twenties and my mom treats me like I'm a kid. She's a bit weird, she doesn't even want me to have boyfriend! And I will be 25 in 2 months! People much younger than me get married, and she doesn't want me to have any contact with any males? I think she had bad experiences with my father (they are divorced now) so she thinks all men are "out to get you" or something like that.
She also used to always go through my stuff when I lived there and open my mail and forbid me from doing anything even when I was 18 years old! I had no privacy at all.
So I moved out when I was 18-19 and never even looked back.
Our relationship is very bad, we probably need family therapy and counseling or something since we can't even communicate together.
