If you have to ask that question, you're not ready to start a paysite...

Profits depend on:

1. Amount of traffic
a. purchased traffic
b. Search engine traffic
c. Affiliate traffic
d. Your own traffic from
i. Your own galleries
ii. Your own freesites
iii. Your own TGP/linklist/other paysites
iv. Conventional marketing

Quality of traffic
a. Is your traffic targeted?
b. Is it TGP/SE/purchased (from where?)/affiliate?
c. How many affiliates do you have?
i. What do you pay your affiliates?
ii. Have you established yourself as a trusted name in the industry?
d. Are your affiliates cheating you?
e. What countries does your traffic come from?

Conversion rate
a. Great tour/ trusted billing method
b. Good niche/unique content/quality content
c. Keeping it fresh
d. Providing your members with something they need and can't get anywhere else

Member retention:

a. Fresh content
b. Give them what they signed up for
c. Give them more than they joined for

All these things can affect your profit (or loss). How much money you make depends on how original you are, how much work you do vs. how much you farm out to others, and most of all how original and appealing your site is. That, and quality traffic. You are the only one who can answer your question: How much can you make with your paysite?

There is no top limit to what you can make, if you know what you're doing. If you truly knew what you were doing, though, you would never ask such a question.
