The Rugers we carry are partially made from nylon or whatever. Lighter than a Glock. But you trade the recoil when you take off weight from the weapon. Just happened to be married to an expert that also collected for years and years. He has alot of more serious training than most people can get even if they wanted. Trained Police depts with their SWAT weapons as well as taught them to care for their arsenals. If he says this is a good gun then it is.

He also has some toy cheapos and has never had any problems with them but on a rare occassion...usually from fouled or poor ammo.
Hey a gun that won't fire is still a club which is better than an empty hand. He'd also like to know what century that weapon that would backfire was made in. If it were bought new he says Hokey to someone identifying it would backfire unless it was seriously mistreated, taken apart and reassembled wrongly etc.

People used to go with the police choice of cars too. Don't trust the police choice in anything. Go to a range that rents them and try them yourself. Cheaper all around. People DO have the right to defend themselves so if a cheapy is all they can afford then fine.
