Oh yeah, don't forget: never listen to boneheads that talk badly about a gun that they've never owned or shot. If anything they deserve the blunt end of a "Satuday Night Special" for ignorance and stupidity.
The only thing these people know about guns and the topic of guns are what they see from movies.
I personally would never own a $75 handgun. They're very unreliable, poorly constucted and inadequate for personal defense. But I'm not an elitest. If you can't afford a 4 to 6 hundred dollar handgun, I still recommend a cheap one for defense. I mean, it sure beats the hell out of getting out the ol' bow and arrow in the middle of the night. But, it's your CONSTITUTIONAL right to bear arms of any price.
Trust me. I've shot 2000 plus rounds in each of my handguns and from my PERSONAL experience, whether it's my Browning, Sig, Beretta, H&K USP, Kimber, or FEG, I would recommend each one.
