I think the Jewish noise has already died out a bit. Part of this is because their agenda is so obvious. Good point. They were much too direct about this film, and considering Gibson didn't back down it kind of backfired on them. However, I doubt they like the thought of Gibson having any power in Hollywood, and I doubt they will ease up on him.
