JJJ, you know very well that for hand built / hand submitted galleries, one has to go for the greatist common acceptance, Clean galleries !
It's true that making slight variations of pages for Some tgp's is unavoidable, ( I'm thinking here of those tgp's that won't post the big AP picbans ), and it's a small minority that accept Any blindlinking.

whilst the industry standard (currently) is 5-1 pics to banners, the tgp's are squeezing it higher
For any gallery under 18 pics I only put 2 outlinks ( recips excluded ).
Getting listed is My Living, and it's hard.
