It's other people's money that is banked and not paid out in order to pre-pay others. No, you're not the bad guy......if you continue to say they are all cool and good for the money.....then it makes you look like you are trying to salvage their 'good name' <--(like they had one left)
I never said you stiffed anyone - I don't think you are stiffing anyone. Besides, if you did, then you'd seem a little off your rocker since you get pre-paid and you have an extra month or so to payout your own - you have more time to adjust your shit before you lose.
BTW, they can't default on payment with you since they prepay....you shouldn't open your pipe unless the water has been paid for in advance - cash in the bank.....no bouncing cheques or the like. Secure your stuff ahead of time.
Don't know it works the same in the States - but if big payments are done in Canada within the last few days of business before bankruptcy......payments can and will be stopped and I think they can go back a month or close to that.
Anyhow, good luck......I don't wish you lose any money though - it's not about you.
