You're writing from Iowa and think living in California sucks? LOL
I don't mean to insult, but I will forever put up with an occasional blackout (shit I already put up with monster traffic, crime that you couldn't even possibly comprehend, , urban living, etc.) just so I can live in this modern day paradise. Granted it's not Koh Samuii or Aruba but, do you have any idea what it is like to step out of your door on December whatever and have bright sunshine, 80 degrees and look to your left and see a beautiful ocean while you feel a lovely sea breeze?
In Southern California, we have consistently the best weather in the world. You would be surprised what that can do to your quality of life. I AM NEVER COLD! If I get chilly, it means it's 60 degrees outside. At night. In the middle of a storm.
People Bitch TOO much. We have it so good.
And let's not even get into WHY we really have a power crisis. This is going to be one huge scandal when all is said and done.
