I'm a little bit confused here..... Blacks want to sue the US becasuse of the slave trade? Blacks should be thankful they are here; Obviously the quality of living is much higher in the US than in Africa. My family is Russian and Polish; I'm thrilled to the bone that I am a US citizen.
While slavery is one of the worst things mankind has ever done, no one can hold the US responsible for this. Perhaps instead their attention should be turned to Spain, France, England, and - gasp - the government of Africa who allowed this to happen.
If I recall correctly the US went to war with itself over slavery, and was the first country to abolish slavery. How about reparations to the famlies who fought on behalf of slavery and lost family members.
