Yesterday as I was sitting here working, my hubby calls and says he is going to be working late...... I asked why and he tells me some 18 yr old girl caught an apt building where he works on fire and burned 8 families out of their homes. As horrified as I was at the thought of this and his having to deal with this with just him and his boss...... it gets worse.

This is the place where me and my family spent 3 years trying to get back on our feet.. it's a Government Housing Authority. Not your typical "projects" type place, but nice families that are just trying to get back on their feet and a couple of disabled elderly people. So imagine the horror there.

Ok it gets worse.. the fucking Fire Dept sends ONE truck to the scene with only a Volunteer Fireman...and on this truck there was not one tool to open the fire hydrant to get the water going to the damn fire, my husband had to go to a nearby resident and get tools to do that because the fireman was just looking on the fire in total horror!! It took the rest about 30 minutes to show up.. by this time there was a young man, who looks to be about 20 or so, he was called from work and told about this..... he gets on scene and told his wife is nowhere to be found.... he goes into total frantic behavior and shock and runs up to this fireman...... this damn fireman looks into this kids face and says "Let us suit up and we will look for bodies". Meanwhile my husband and two other RESIDENTS are running around frantically in clouds of smoke and fire trying to find this guys family (wife and 5 month old baby), he asked the cops and they basically just tell him to stand back........ what the hell kind of place is it where you are already poor and you can't even get help finding your family???

Ok as it turns out, the local Church had come and picked up the women with the babies so they were out of the cold. My husband and two of his residents were key factors in aiding to get this fire out while the firemen just all but sat there watching the damn building burning 8 families out of their homes... THEN the REAL firemen from two adjoining cities pop up and get it out pretty fast but by then all was lost.

Wanna know what started this damn fire? The little bitch that started it drops a damn zippo on the couch and it's lit.... torched the whole damn place...... she was a meth head so rumors are flying and investigations are running wild...... So to any that wonder why I have such a problem with hard drugs... not so much pot, but the hard ones..... THIS is exactly why I have aproblem with them. Because of her and her damn stupid bullshit, we now have 8 families out of a home and lost what little they had to their names.

I'm sorry.. I just get a bit out of shape when people treat people that don't have alot like they are some kind of pond scum and do not deserve the same treatment as those who have everything. Give me a break...... ONE Volunteer Fireman to put out a fire on a two story building. And then tell a frantic husband they will suit up and go look for bodies? Jesus CHRIST!!!!!! I was where they are not so very long ago, so I know how they feel....... it's just all bullshit to me!! Where are peoples morals these days?
