ahh, we do agree on something then moose
Society in general, and parents in particular, are many times (but not always) failing in these cases. I'd still like to see more done to eliminate hand guns, but that just doesn't look like a reality.
Unfortunately, holding parents responsible means more laws and govt. intervention too though.
Part of me too though is just so sick of all of this "passing the buck" mentality and the lawsuits that come with it.
But that's a whole 'nother post
