Yep, if you push hard enough you can make really good money being a designer for others.

Check out my Portfolio and check around. I used to do JUST gallerya nd freesite submissions. I made good money on them but realized I can't put all eggs in one basket and moved away from them. I still do occasional campaings. in fact, doing one now. I enjoy building for others though. Quicker money, happy customers, happy sponsors. I have also joined the team at CSWcash.com for recruitment. I am also running some SE campaigns that will take time to reach profitable results. It's all a slow buildup process for each thing, however I believe it is the best for long term to have more than one thing going so if one thing fails, I have a few others to fall back on while I fix the failure.

Being relatively new in the design aspect of the biz I have to severely undercut everyone. Hard to make profit on that I have other projects in the works but they will take time to pay off comfortably. I took a complete shift in what part of the biz I sit in. Instead of relying on one thing I have gotten myself into a half adozen different projects. With a baby comming I have to come up with serious cash before all this pays off so I can get a decent little car, pay for movers since I simply cannot move all this shit myself and stock up on baby things. So now I am looking into what people need done the most and what is profitable. A lead or anything to help point me into teh right dorection for some quick cash is all I need. After which, my own projects should have matured, word of mouth for my own design company should spread more and I can feel more comfortable and chase bigger things again.
