ok you divide the diagonal measurement by the square root of the sum of the squares of your two ratio figures.
multiply the answer by each ratio figure to get the actual measurements.
eg ratio is 4:3, diagonal is 50"
(4*4)+(3*3)=25
sq root of 25=5
50/5 =10
so screen size is (4*10) by (3*10)
