About the dedicated servers: Sorry, you're wrong
Once you get 150GB+ / month you should consider a dedicated server because of its superior speed and reliability. You really don't want another shared user on your virtual server to destroy your big site(s) by putting up a script that runs amok. Trust me, that hurts and that can happen on a virtual server and can't on a dedicated server (unless you do it yourself).
Once you earn the money to go dedicated you should do so.
