Actually one of my good friends does that and he does ok with it. Well, in this area, it's a smaller historic area with LOTS of antique stores that have merchandise that they sit on because it's worth something, but locally, nobody wants to pay for it, so they put it on line. One guy in particular had a few really old watches that the guy was expecting to get $300 a piece for them, ended up getting $400-$600 EACH for them after they were put on Ebay, that's quite an additional profit there.
