textpad is a must!
Very powerful text editor with color codded syntax definitions for html, java, c and so on. Has a regular expresion find and replace, and a case inverter tool so you can easily fix the problem of typing a bunch with caps lock on (can highlight text and invert its case, swithch to all lower case, all upper case, or sentence case). Also has an auto indent option to make wrting code by hand a lot easier. Way to many other options and features to list here.

FTPVoyager is a must if you have a lot of pages that you update frequerntly. It has a folder syncronization option, select a folder on remote and local and you can synchronize the files based on size or date. This is very helpful if you have a directory with several 100 html files of which say 30 have been updated, just a couple clicks and your updated pages are uploaded to your server.

CodeSwitcher (or the free BKReplacem) for search and replace across multiple files. CodeSwitcher is easier to use but BKReplacem has a powerful regular expresion search and replace.
