If you are sending paid traffic to some sponsors, is it best to send the traffic to your own landing page where you can promote a few sponsors or direct to the sponsor's site?

I am coming to the conclusion that really it doesn't matter since nobody is going to bookmark your dinky little links page that has very little value added, except possibly links to the join pages/members areas direct...
