OK, I hear you.

And to clarify, I was going to relate my trials with the herpes ridden flea weasels I had when I was younger. I typed, "Herpes ridden flea weasels" and then got distracted. Alt+S sends icq's, its also posts replies...

I feel bad because I didn't go in and edit and clarify my comment. Whatever damage done. Mouth tastes like foot.

I had 5 of the lil bastards, no animal in my life has ever brought such frustration and joy. I bought a pair in nevada, Pink and Blue. Ferrets were just gaining popularity in the town I was living in a few of my friends had them. So people were buying them and whatever. I had these two for quite some time, then they started showing up on my doorstep. That's how I got dooby and sid. Five ferrets in a house is probably the funniest thing you can imagine, as a ferret owner you know this. I had a foam beer cooler thingy...they fetched it. They would bound after it and fight with eachother as to who would get to bring back to my lap. 5 ferrets staring at you in anticipation of a thrown foam beer cooler thingy is a precious thing. I've never seen a ferret pay attention to a single activity for more than 5 minutes...this lot would fetch for hours on end.

Sid's owner showed up at my house and wanted him back after 2 years. Dooby escaped through the ac vent and was never seen again. Pink and Blue lived on for two more years before pink died of kidney problems and blue died of what I can only imagine was heartbreak.

3 years later Philo as just a kit showed up on my neighbors doorstep who had no knowledge of the responsibilities involved. I took her in and had a ball for 3 months. Her hair begain to fall out soon there after. Starting at the tail and working toward her head...after about $500 I learned that her spaying and descenting had been botched. Never by a ferret with the blue dots on the ear, they represent the markings of one of a few ferret farms located in america. The ferrets are raised poorly, treated poorly, and spayed/descented poorly.

Part of her sexual organs had been left in in the operation, causing her body to produce hormones, those hormones were destroying her liver and kidney's. As a brand new father at the time I could not afford the $800 operation, she was given to a veteranarian's assitant who could get the proceedure done at almost nothing...when I'm in tahoe I still visit her. She lives together with Jack...although he's a bit of a bully, she puts him in his place more often than not. I miss her...the herpes ridden flea weasel.
