Maybe she has guilt for decisions she has made in her life, which is not healthy, and feels she deserves it. Or maybe she feels she is not disciplined enough and having a crazy man like that around gives her some sort of feeling of structure. You know the ?I need a Daddy to spank me when I get out of line? syndrome. Who really knows what makes a woman stay with a man that beats her. Sometimes fear, but in this case I think he satisfies some sort of deep dislike she has towards herself.
