while cleaning and resaving a few 192k bit-rate mp3s with nero, i noticed the file size drops considerably, as it saves (by default?) in 80k bit-rate. i can't tell the difference in quality so why do some mp3s have such high bit-rates (and presumably unnecessarily big file sizes) to start with?
