I think the whole "eh" thing got exagerated with Bob and Doug McKenzie on SCTV... Don't tell me you people have forgotten!?
Most of Canada's population is concentrated along the border. So most Canadians get a healthy dose of the States (not only US TV) before they're adults. I guess the reverse is true, most border Americans have seen mythical Canadians.
The main reason people move to the states from Canada is for money, better paying jobs.
Question: if we pay so much in frigging tax for a better social system, healthcare etc, why do all the teaching and nursing grads move to work in the States?

More Questions: after the failure and mass layoffs in a lot of high tech companies is there a reverse on the Brain Drain happening? Are those Canadians who moved to work in the States that got laid off moving back to Canada? What's the US equivalent to EI or is there one? If they stayed here and got laid off they would at least get what 60% of their income back from EI.

oh and BC pot is just fine thank you very much! Actually, that last joint you smoked was probably grown here! It's surprising how politicized that downtown weed culture thing is! Americans seem to thrive on their vice and the illegality of it, we want to legalize just about everything.
I guess another trait of Canadians is when they think their rights are being stepped on we'll form a political party around the single issue!
My favorite though is the Doug Henning party.. what is it the Natural Law party. Did you see the hopping (sorry levitating) yogies???
On a final note, I've been to more places in the States than Canada. I don't think I've been east of the Rockies. I know a lot of people from other parts of Canada, and I'm told I'm a typical Vancouverite whatever that is since I don't ski or snowboard haha!
cheers, had to ad my 1.333 before taxes!
