In addition to Ramen and Mac&Cheese (including the Golden Grain box, which didn't demand milk, so it was cheaper to make,) there was Rice, made in a cooker, with a can of chicken noodle soup cooked in.
And, on a rich nite, Hamburger Helper (sometimes w/o the hamburger)
