Because heat = bad for forced induction, I've read that intercooled setups are the way to go. Because of the configuration of Roots blowers, they can't use an intercooler.

This makes a huge difference in power. With an intercooled blower, you can run much more boost without the threat of detonation.

More boost = more power from everything I've read.
