That might not sound like a lot, but most diets are only able to knock off 1 to 3 pounds realistically per week. So it was over double the normal weight loss.

If you are losing a pound a day, you should find out where that pound is coming from. The chances are, if you are losing weight at that rate, it is water weight.
Scales lie about your health. If you really want to know how in shape you are, get your body fat % checked (by calipers as the electronic body fat scales are not accurate).
