The problem with being in this industry is that you lose track of the perspective of those not in it. 99.999% of the girls out there would be abhorred at the thought of actually doing porn work. More if you were talking unrealistic sums, which some think of when they first contact you.

Don't bother trying to approach people you see on the street, malls, etc., that's a waste of your time, and you'll just get in trouble.

Advertise on job sites (paper, Internet, etc.), hang out at photography forums (be careful, anything outright will get you banned), once you start getting models, ask them to refer others. Unlike what many people think, most strippers are not interested in having their photo taken, they're probably going to college and want a decent career when they graduate - having your hiring manager recognize you from some website won't facilitate this.
