Lucas is in the process of ruining the franchise by making some really bad films lately, namely the last two star wars movies. They are soulless, plodding, lack any real character development, HAVE AWFUL SCRIPTS & DIRECTION courtesy of G.L.
When I watch the first three, especially the first two, I am really entertained. Watching the last two? At first, its just amazing how plodding and wooden the acting is, and considering its ppl like Ewan McCregor and Samuel L. Jackson, thats amazing.....but look at the scripts they have to work with! Its no wonder. I find myself getting bored to no end with the cheap story-telling, or lack thereof, and then pissed off at what he has done to this franchise.
Seeing how its taken him 20 years almost to get to this, its really amazing. He's become a lazy film-maker.
