When I was a kiddie growing up my mom always took me and my two brothers into one of those cheap hair cutting chains to get our hair all cut at once. I never saw her tip once growing up so I didn't even realize it was expected until a g/f tagged along once when I was older and pointed it out to me. Now I tip 20% which my wife considers cheap...hehe...
My wife used to be a waitress and kiss ass for big tips. She got a $1.00 tip for a table of 10 that she had been waiting on all night once. She ran out and threw the $1.00 in the guy's face in the parking lot. She has a bad temper. We got out to eat a lot and I imagine our waiters/waitresses like her because she tips at least 30%.
