Please see how Chechenyan hostages are treated, it's pretty hard to look at. There's no need for a war. Organise a democratic vote in Chechenya on wether or not they wanna secede from Russia and go from there instead of killing people just for the heck of it. But why do that when he can use violent repression, hey?
