The platinum-tressed heiress, described as "sweet-natured" by her family, proved Friday that she's possessed of a litigious side by slapping an Internet company she claimed illegally obtained and distributed the tape with a $30 million lawsuit.
Hilton's suit accuses Panama-based Kahatani Ltd. of engaging in "unauthorized and illegal exploitation" of the 45-minute tape for "personal gain," thereby causing its celebutante star "severe economic, emotional and other irreparable injury."
Seattle-based Internet porn company Marvad Corp. had planned to hawk the tape on its SexBrat.com site, but backed off after learning that Hilton had not given her consent for its sale.
