I wouldnt get too excited about it yet. The CAN-SPAM Act may not be around for too much longer - it wont be long before the appeals courts get to start axing it and I hope they do. I would like to see it struck down. I like my state law alot better. I dont like CAN-SPAM because it pretty much legalizes SPAM. All they have to do is provide an opt-out link and thats it. Then its legal. It shouldnt be opt-out, it should be opt-in.

CAN-SPAM also takes away the right for private indviduals to sue spammers - something I am a very big fan of.
