If your using their shit like they are using yours. You've got nothing to complain about.
If you don't use their shit, then you can tell them to leave your shit alone. That's not being a asshole, when you communicate how you feel. Lay the law down with your stuff. You let them do it once, they think they can do it all the time. Lay the law down the first time instead of waiting and getting upset each time. Non of that is being a asshole, just communication.
I'm pretty much saying, don't be a wimp with your roommates. They'll get over any hurt feels of not being able to use your stuff anymore.
