Ok - my debit privileges on my Fleet bank account have been suspended.

Apparently I cant post anything on the account anymore, and I've been trying to buy things all day and all have been denied and I called the main 800 number and they said they arnt even seeing the request for the authorization.

However, after the 4th time speaking to someone new on the 800# they directed me to call my local branch (about 45min away) and so I did and my bank rep there, tells me that she cant talk about the circumstances on the phone and needs me to come in to talk to me personally before funds are released.

Now... WTF could've caused this?? Apparently this started last night because I bought a ring for valentines day like 2 days ago which was fine except i hit my daily limit so I had to go home and up it to $4500/day and go back and buy the ring.

Now today I try to buy 2 new cell phones and a new cell plan from ATT which is declined, and I also just tried to buy some roses which were declined (all before I called my local branch)

So can anyone (with a parent or spouse who works at a branch anywhere) please tell me what could cause them to lock my account and have to talk to them in person?

Id rather not drive there 45 minutes, with this fever and cold I have, then walk right into the hands of cops.

The city the branch is in, and the city I live in, are differant - could it be the local police there have no jurisdiction and need me to come into theirs before they can do anything?

Or what the hell could be the issue?

and no, I havent overdrawn - I have $12500+ in the account at the moment - I have made a ton of purchases recently a couple of them were high amounts.
