This isn't spam, you are giving them consent to mail you. Look at all the sick shit that is being mailed now, with no regard to who is on the other end of the message. It doesn't matter whether they are 7 or 90 years old. It's wrong period.
Imagine walking outside and finding the first kid you saw, and then showing him/her pics of people having sex, sucking etc.
Now that is bad isn't it? Spammers are doing the exact same thing except electronically.
I have three girls, the oldest being 7 1/2 and now she cannot sit beside her dad and watch him check his email
How long will it be before I feel safe enough with her having her own email etc. She can navigate the web now on her, she can do alot of things on the computer but I will not allow her simply because of this reason.
