Fans of the oval-ball game who weren't remotely interested in that Jonny Wilkinson drop-kick will be in hog heaven tonight, with extensive coverage on both Sky Sports 1 (10pm) and here on Five of the Super Bowl between the Carolina Panthers and the New England Patriots at the Reliant Stadium in Houston.
The Patriots are favourites to win, after a successful season dominated by their well-marshalled defense.
The unfancied Panthers are in the final after a shock NFC play-off victory over the mighty Philadelphia Eagles, and are boosted by the return from injury of running back Stephen Davis.
The Panthers offense is centred around Davis, who has managed 266 yards and a touchdown in three play-off games.
The event includes music from Beyoncé, Nelly and Janet Jackson.
