hehe, after hitting Return i had another one in my mind, but i tend to see them as continent for some reason.
muslims 'taking over' Europe is a bit too much (we said Arabs before, BTW. muslims aren't nevessarily Arabs, there is even a muslim nation on european grounds, Bosnia-Herzegovina). they held parts of Spain for long time and they tried to come in from the other end but were stopped before they reached Vienna each time.
emigration of nations is not a new phenomenon. happened before and majorly affected Europe before. just cos we now control borders and mind nations much more, we are aware of this and sort of keep it down.
OTOH the rise of the defeated nations of WWII wouldn't have happened without the cheap labour of Yugoslavs and Turks, who have been invited as guest workers for those jobs the local population didn't want to do.
if my numbers are right, the muslims are the 2nd largest religious group in many EU countries now (where 2nd largest usually means somewhere below 10% anyway). so what? all that needs to be controlled is that the extremists do not take over amongst them (just as the x-ian extremists amongst europeans - heck, Europe had religious wars before and still has issues with it).
i can easily live with a muslim neighbour, did so already, in fact. and i love to shop in the turkish grocery downtown, cos for some reasons their tomatoes and other vegetables are better and the meat is not only cheaper but more delicious too. nothing beats a nice roast lamb.
